Ali Rew – qualified Counsellor (BACP registered)

Face-to-face counselling in Canterbury, Faversham or Online

A safe and non-judgemental space

My name is Ali and I am a qualified counsellor working in East Kent. I offer a supportive environment where you can explore whatever is causing difficulty in your life. Together we will take time to understand how you truly feel, helping you gain clarity, confidence and a deeper connection with yourself.

I work both short term and long term, and offer sessions in person or online. I see clients face-to-face in Faversham and in central Canterbury at varying times during the week.

As a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I work ethically, confidentially and with your wellbeing at the centre.

How I Work – moving away from the noise and finding your own way through

I offer warmth, curiosity and compassion. Our sessions are centred around what you choose to bring. Counselling can provide a pause from the noise of life, a space to be heard and seen – an opportunity to hear your own voice.

My approach is integrative, drawing from a range of therapeutic methods so we can work in a way that suits you as an individual. I will accompany you in your situation – giving a safe, confidential space to explore issues you may not be able to acknowledge anywhere else in your life. I believe with this honesty comes opportunities to find your own way through whatever difficulty you are experiencing.

Support with life’s changes

Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor at the Pilgrims Hospice in Canterbury, supporting individuals and families through grief, loss and life changes. I am passionate about supporting people through grief and all the difficulties it can raise in our lives.

In my private practise I therefore offer bereavement counselling in a gentle and supportive space. We usually begin with an initial set of 6 sessions, giving you time and space to explore how the death of a loved one has affected you.

These sessions offer a compassionate place to talk openly, at your own pace, about your grief and the many emotions that can accompany loss. Whether your feelings feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to put into words, you don’t have to face them alone.

Why ARC?

Ali Rew Counselling, ‘ARC’ reflects the idea of a journey, a bridge, a protective curve - a symbol of personal transformation. I believe counselling can help you understand yourself more deeply, offering acceptance, connection and a clearer path forward.
